PRA recently received three awards during the 4th Annual Comparably Awards. We were presented with the “Best Company Culture” award, the “Best Companies for Women” award, and the “Best Companies for Diversity” award.

Each quarter, Comparably honors companies with Best Places to Work Awards, as rated by their own employees across a variety of categories.

Comparably is a leading workplace monitoring site that provides the most comprehensive and accurate representation of what it’s like to work at companies. Employees can anonymously rate their employers in 20 different workplace culture categories, providing the public a transparent and in-depth look at the experiences workers have based on their gender, ethnicity, age, department, experience, location, education, and company size.

Best Company Culture Award

On Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, PRA was awarded Best Company Culture. This award reflects the sentiment ratings of all employees. Rankings are based on 20 core culture metrics, such as teams, leadership, environment, outlook, career growth, and work-life balance.

PRA President and CEO Colin Shannon had this to say about receiving the award:

This award is a reflection of our employees’ efforts to look out for each other, every step of the way. We help each other grow and evolve. Our teams recognize that their work saves lives, but what comes first is collaboration, a sense of purpose, and agility to adapt to challenges. Best Companies for Women Award

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, PRA Health Sciences was awarded one of the Best Companies for Women (as rated by female employees). The award is based solely on sentiment ratings from female employees that reflect their workplace experiences within the same 20 core culture metrics analyzed for Best Culture.

Today, we see more and more women involved in STEM fields. According to the Women in STEM Workforce Index 2020, there are more women than ever represented in the STEM workforce. The women’s share of life and physical sciences jobs increased by 16% since 1990.

“PRA has specifically focused on bringing gender equality and diversity to our workforce, and it is a priority for the company to recruit and retain talented women throughout our global footprint,” said Francisca Burtenshaw, Global HR Business Partner, based in the United Kingdom. “As we continue to progress in this category, we are appreciative of the recognition by Comparably, and most importantly, by our employees who work diligently to improve patient lives every day.”

Best Companies for Diversity Award

On Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, PRA was a recipient of the “Best Companies for Diversity” award. This achievement is based only on sentiment ratings from employees of color (non-Caucasian). Their ratings reflect their workplace experiences within 20 core culture metrics, such as teams, leadership, environment, outlook, career growth, and work-life balance.

“PRA has committed itself to fostering an environment for all our employees where they feel welcomed, supported, valued and safe in their career endeavors,” said Teresa Dunlap, VP of Project Delivery and member of the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee at PRA. “Our company values—including human-centricity and integrity—create a foundation of understanding that leads to rich interactions and collaboration among our global teams.
